The VCPFG is a joint venture with the Victorian Department of Primary Industries (DPI) through the Plant Biotechnology Centre located at La Trobe University.   Professor German Spangenberg heads the DPI node.   The Centre provides key platform technologies and associated expertise to the Australia Centre for Plant Functional Genomics (ACPFG- http://www.acpfg.com.au), CRC for Molecular Plant Breeding and the Cereal Functional Genomics Centre.

Established in 2002 by a $4 million grant from the Victorian Government's Science, Technology and Innovation program, the VCPFG provides state-of-the-art functional genomic platforms including genomics/transcriptomics/proteomics/metabolomics/glycomics/bioinformatics.    Click here for further information about the facilities of the VCPFG.
